Kate Day

Case Manager & NDIS Specialist Support Coordinator
BSc Hons (Primary Eductaion)

Kate completed her degree at The University of the West of England obtaining a Bachelor of Sciences with Honors in Primary Education, commencing her career in 2004 as a teacher.   

Kate worked for many years in mainstream settings with inclusion roles.   Kate then moved into Early Childhood Intervention in 2016 working as a Transdisciplinary Keyworker at Early Education in Sydney.   In this role Kate supported children with disabilities and their families.  Kate moved to Perth and joined Lighthouse Health Group in 2019 and has been working as a Specialist Support Coordinator and Case Manager.   Kate is currently studying a Masters In Disability Policy and Practice at Flinders University.

Kate is passionate in her role as an SSC at Lighthouse about supporting children and their families and people who are extremely disadvantaged to build stronger relationships both within their own family unit and with outside supports.   Kate has worked with participants who are currently in the justice system to orchestrate a smooth transition from prison back into the community, whilst ensuring that their unique and individual needs are recognized and vital supports provided.

Kate is an active member of the local surf club where she is a surf life saver and rows in a surf boat crew. Kate also enjoys yoga and reading. As a family Kate, her husband and their three children enjoy going for bush walks and camping around WA.
