Amanda Cristhine

Administration Assistant

Meet Amanda …

Can you tell us about your background and how you came to work at Lighthouse?
I have over ten years of experience working in admin and legal support roles, including time as a legal assistant, administration officer, and providing secretarial support across different departments. After completing my Law degree in Brazil, I worked as a lawyer for a few years, which really helped shape my professional values and my interest in working with people in a meaningful way.

In 2019, I moved to Australia—not just for a change of environment, but to continue growing both personally and professionally. I’ve always been passionate about human rights and knew I wanted to be part of a workplace where people truly come first.

When I came across Lighthouse Health Group, their values and focus on high-quality, people-centred service really stood out to me. It felt like the right place to bring together my legal background, admin experience, and passion for helping others.

What attracted you to working at Lighthouse Health Group?
What really stood out to me about Lighthouse was its genuine focus on people—both clients and the team. It was clear from the beginning that the company values empathy, professionalism, and high-quality service, which strongly align with my own values.

I was also drawn to the unique work they do in the medico-legal space. It felt like the right environment to grow professionally and stay connected to the legal field while I work through the process of converting my Law degree in Australia.

How has your experience working in law influenced your career?

Working in law taught me so much—not just about legal processes, but also about communication, attention to detail, and the importance of listening and understanding people’s needs. It also made me realise how much I enjoy working in roles where I can support and advocate for others.

That experience continues to shape how I approach my work, even in admin and support roles—I always try to be someone others can rely on.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of the office, I love going for runs, bushwalks and camping, and I really value spending quality time with family and friends. I also enjoy working out, playing the guitar to unwind, and travelling whenever I can—especially to explore new cultures and traditions.
