Zoe Salehi

Zoe completed her degree at York St Johns University obtaining a Bachelor of Health Sciences with Honors in Occupational Therapy.
Commencing her career in 2008 at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Hospitals in the United Kingdom Zoe gained valuable experience across a variety of acute settings.
Returning to the north of England Zoe took on the Senior Occupational Therapist with Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust on a specialist neurological ward. Here Zoe further developed skills in cognitive rehabilitation, disorders of consciousness, splinting and complex discharge planning. Zoe later accepted a Therapy Clinical Team Lead role which incorporated three separate hospital units across acute and neurological rehabilitation. Zoe was in this role for two years and expanded her specialized skills and that of the other therapists within her team developing services across the Trust.
Prior to moving to Perth in 2017, Zoe accepted a role within the private sector, to expand her experience and knowledge. This was in a specialist community facility for young adults with complex and profound disabilities. Here Zoe obtained skills in Sensory integration, Environmental assistive technology and bespoke equipment prescription.
Since 2018, Zoe has been based in Perth and is a member of the Lighthouse Health Groups WA team providing Occupational Therapy, Specialist Support Coordination and Case Management services to a range clients’ in both the private and NDIS sector.
Zoe’s special fields of expertise are:
- Acquired brain injury rehabilitation
- Complex discharge planning
- Home assessment
- Cognitive rehabilitation
- Equipment assessment and prescription
Zoe loves horse-riding and had horses in England. Zoe has had limited opportunity to pursue this since coming to live in Perth. She enjoys going to the beach with her family on the weekends.
Very much a family, outdoors person, Zoe appreciates the freedom of participating in life to the fullest extent and this gives her the passion to be able to come alongside clients to help them enhance their life through her experiences, encouragement and professional skills.
