Renee Connell

Specialist Support Coordinator
B Ed (Primary Education)

Renee completed her degree at Edith Cowan University obtaining a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education (majoring in Early Childhood Education and minoring in visual arts). 

Renee commenced teaching in 2002 and has worked across different educational sectors to date with broad teaching experience in a primary and secondary setting. She has significant experience working as a Learning Support Coordinator advocating for and supporting children with disabilities and their families in a mainstream school. 

Renee has provided consultancy support to teachers, principals, and schools within Western Australia for students with autism spectrum disorder to improve student engagement and participation.  Additionally, she has also worked as a Teacher of the Deaf for a period of time. 

Renee now provides specialist support coordination services since joining Lighthouse Health Group in 2022.

Renee is interested in a variety of creative outlets and enjoys print making, ceramics and renovating.  She has two vibrant children who keep her busy, are equally interested in the arts, and enjoy swimming.
